For Steve and Eileen Gallagher, the large staircase in their beautiful Bolton farmhouse had seen better days and was in desperate need of renovation. With the staircase being such a central feature in their home it was important they got it right.

This year the Furniture Ombudsman has changed its name to The Furniture and Home Improvement Ombudsman (FHIO) to reflect their long-established presence in the furniture sector. It also better represents the substantial and ever-growing home improvement sector member base.
