Before & After: Updating your staircase spindles for oak

Not only did Abbott-Wade open up this clients home by replacing the solid landing balustrade with traditionally turned spindles but the tired dark rails and dilapidated spindles were also replaced with our pristine prefinished oak to add a consistent look throughout the hall, stairs and landing.

These clients will no longer need to worry about ‘drip marks’ from decades of redecorating and our pre-finished oak spindles come in a range of contemporary and traditional styles to suit any home.Each of the Before & After image blocks on this page are taken before and after a real Abbott-Wade installation from UK homes visited by our installation teams. Some of the images may be taken at different stages of completion with carpets/decoration left unfinished.
