Why a new staircase?
We felt that the Edwardian style of the staircase did not fit with the barn. Although the barn is old, we felt a contemporary staircase renovation would really provide the wow factor in the large entrance hall.
Inspiration:
We were certain this would make a big difference and prioritised it over other renovations to the barn after seeing Abbott-Wade’s advertisement in Ideal Home and then later reading their staircase renovations guide.
Decision making process:
We selected Abbott-Wade as the service was friendly and professional from the very first call. Peter, our salesman was not pushy and did not try and talk us up on the job at all. He clearly provided all the relevant details and presented the options well which enabled us to make a clear choice.
Style choice:
We chose clear embedded glass with oak handrails and baserails. We felt this would really open up the hallway and also allow us to see right through to the countryside beyond the house from the front driveway.
End Result:
